To do so, at Onirica VR and the University of Nebrija we created a Virtual Reality experience that surpasses 120,000 viewers around the world and that began its exhibition at the National Library of Spain, later touring several countries. <\/p>\n\n<p>Here we will tell you all the details of the creation process: the conceptualization of the experience, the development milestones, and the best practices for making applications of this type and their distribution.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Nebrija Estela de Letras\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CZaVxVAAANE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Trailer of the Nebrija Estela de Letras VR experience<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h4>\n\n<p><strong>AN AMBITIOUS IDEA: CREATING A TRAVELING IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Onirica VR and Nebrija University formed a strategic partnership with the goal of creating an immersive experience that would transport viewers to the era of Columbus, the Catholic Monarchs, and Nebrija, taking advantage of the 500th anniversary of Nebrija&#8217;s death. <\/p>\n\n<p>Our solution? Creating a traveling immersive experience that would let users explore different crucial moments of the voyage to the Americas and build a breathtaking atmosphere around them.  <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>REPLICATING SPACES WITH PHOTOGRAMMETRY AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1536\" height=\"840\" src=\"https:\/\/oniricavr.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/experiencia-Inmersiva-nebrija-realizada-1536x840.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1527\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oniricavr.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/experiencia-Inmersiva-nebrija-realizada-1536x840.webp 1536w, https:\/\/oniricavr.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/experiencia-Inmersiva-nebrija-realizada-500x273.webp 500w, https:\/\/oniricavr.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/experiencia-Inmersiva-nebrija-realizada-768x420.webp 768w, https:\/\/oniricavr.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/experiencia-Inmersiva-nebrija-realizada-2048x1120.webp 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1536px) 100vw, 1536px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p>Creating a WOW effect for museum visitors is increasingly difficult. That&#8217;s why we decided to surprise them. Using hundreds of photos, we built a 3D model that replicated the space of one of the places where the events took place, which serves as the basis for the virtual experience. The technique we used to create the replica is called photogrammetry.   <\/p>\n\n<p>We were also pioneers in the use of images generated by Artificial Intelligence: the stained-glass windows that are part of the space were generated with Dall-E 2, one of the first tools available on the market. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>AUTOMATING THE VIEWINGS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>We wanted the experience to start over after each use and for users not to have to perform any interaction after putting on the headset. But we also aimed for the experience to be possible in small spaces and to be enjoyable both in exploration mode and while seated. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>RESULTS: MEDIA IMPACT AND DISTRIBUTION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>We wanted it to be not just an educational experience, but also to create a WOW effect for viewers. Every scene is designed to captivate you, and as a result: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Political and institutional figures from around the world experienced it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>More than 120,000 viewers around the world were able to enjoy it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Its success story has appeared in publications such as the book: &#8220;Immersive Experiences: Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality in journalism, advertising and the arts.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>INNOVATION IN EDUCATION THROUGH VIRTUAL REALITY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>This success story highlights how Virtual Reality can become a transformative tool for educational and cultural institutions, enabling immersive and captivating learning experiences.
